Challenge: Design an interior office graphics program showcasing key projects in preparation for the 30th anniversary of a landscape architecture and urban planning firm.

Solution: The resulting design utilized wire-mounted acrylic display panels and detachable wall-mounted posters. More than fifty 24x36 inch posters were strategically distributed throughout the three-floor studio space to orient visitors to the scale and scope of work produced by the firm. Templates were provided for future expansion and changeability.

Responding to the architecture of the office, a 30-foot tall “fusion” banner was designed to showcase the major practice areas of the firm. Descriptive text highlights the design studio on the third floor, planning studio on the second floor, and administrative staff on first floor. The “fusion” theme physically represents the integration of studios into a cohesive service offering.

Challenge: Create an event theme and visual motif for the 30th anniversary celebration of a landscape architecture and urban planning firm to demonstrate creativity and contribute to a memorable experience for guests.

Solution: Employees contributed slogan ideas for the event. The favorite was “don't trust anyone under 30.” A series of post cards was developed for mailing to invitees in the five weeks preceding the celebration. Photography was selected that makes light of the serious and sophisticated work and major practice areas of the firm. Typography and brand purple contribute to the whimsy of the theme. The final post card portrays employees in an exuberant party portrait, lending a personal touch to the campaign. Copy creates comparisons between the characters in the images and the expertise of the firm.
