Land of the Free ] September 4, 2005
I want to thank my friends AJ, Peter, Ivan and Tim, for a great brunch at Banana Cafe in Eastern Market on Sunday. They have continued to keep in touch with me regularly over the past few months.
I am proud to have endured a long weekend without using drugs or drinking, which for many meth users, is prime time for drugs and unstoppable partying.
But greater than that, I enjoyed my days. The clouds over D.C. were picture perfect, and I enjoyed walking around outdoors for hours "propagating my brand".
This was the first weekend that I could dig into school work as well. I am going to be very busy for the next 5 months, and for the next two years.
I am grateful for the support and wisdom of friends, CMA buddies, and family who are helping me pace myself and take care of myself.
Let's Talk All Over Town ] September 4, 2005
Tonight I celebrated 30 days clean and sober in a meeting with 25-30 other men and women who have shared many of my experiences. The encouragement and love I am receiving far surpasses the thrill I felt in my "roaming independence".
A man introduced himself to me after the meeting. He had seen my website within the past 24 hours and came to the meeting tonight, as raw as I was on July 25th. We are all still so fresh and susceptible, but we have eachother. We must continue to talk about crystal meth. I must continue to talk about crystal meth.
